What is your idea of perfect happiness? Sharing a beautiful feast with friends, family, and newcomers.
Which historical figure do you most identify with? An intrepid Victorian lady.
Which living person do you most admire? The person who protects those more vulnerable than themselves.
Which is the trait you most deplore in yourself? Self-criticism.
What is your greatest extravagance? I just bought a (blunt) sword to play with.
What is your favourite journey? The train from Dublin to Galway.
On what occasion do you lie? When I want something that’s not good for me.
Which living person do you most despise? I send them love instead. It’s more effective.
What or who is the greatest love of your life? The sun. Every morning. Thank goodness.
When and where were you happiest? At the kitchen table.
Which talent would you most like to have? Singing, dancing, painting, and rock-climbing.
What is your current state of mind? Grateful.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Making an audience laugh.
If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what do you think it would be? A bee.
What is your most treasured possession? My grandfather’s desk.
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? Self-hatred. It poisons everything else.
What is your favourite occupation? Make-believe.
What is the quality you most like in a man? True humanity.
What is the quality you most like in a woman? True humanity.
Who are your favourite writers? At present, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Manda Scott, Michelle Cassandra Johnson, and Muhammad Khan.
